Australian Sports Turf Consultants (ASTC) has become a Golf Course Superintendents Association (GCSAQ) Supporter for their 2016-2017 year. The GCSAQ is an association for Queensland golf course sperintendents to meet, discuss and enhance their greenkeeping skills and to foster the professionalism of turf management while continuing to provide great golf courses across QLD.
ASTC Director Matt Roche said “we are looking forward to supporting GCSAQ and its members across Queensland to help them provide superior greens and playing conditions for their members and visitors”. Matt has previously worked with GCSAQ in a research capacity whilst working for the Redlands Turf Research program. Matt says “it’s great to be supporting the golf course superintendents once again to help them achieve their goals”. ASTC is positioned to provide local independent consulting and technical advice to the superintendents and their club managers, this includes benchmarking and auditing and technical services such as soil nutritional testing and loss of ignition (LOI) testing to assess and monitor organic matter within the golf greens. Such works has been routinely undertaken by Gladstone Golf Course and specific testing by Bundaberg Golf Course.
