Heath Park in East Brisbane is undergoing a significant flood recovery project, led by the Brisbane City Council in partnership with ASTC. This project has focused on the restoration of three football (soccer) fields that were impacted by flood water. Heath Park is home of Eastern Suburbs Football Club.
ASTC’s involvement includes irrigation auditing, soil sampling, and testing in order to create optimal conditions for the revitalised fields. Furthermore, ASTC will provide the council with detailed technical drawings, specifications, and a comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to guide the redevelopment process. Ensuring high standards, ASTC will also provide quality control services throughout the project, collaborating closely with Council to restore Heath Park to its full potential.
Services provided by ASTC
Site investigation work:
- Soil and bore hole testing to determine site conditions
- Soil nutritional testing
- Irrigation audit to identify limitations and recommended rectification work
- Surveying the existing levels and features
Designs and/or specifications for:
- Sports field redevelopment works
- Detailed survey designs, contours, sections​ and proposed cut and or fill requirements
- Topsoil (soil blend) importation
- Subsoil drainage
- Turfgrass
- Irrigation designs
- Establishment and maintenance
During construction and consolidation:
- Quality control checks in line with specified Hold and Witness Points
- Analytical testing
