Wear Component Added
On the 7 July 2021 ASTC trialed its wear machine across the Queensland Sports and Athletics Centre (QSAC) Bermudagrass Trial plots. The wear machine roller attachment was manufactured by Mark Fleming of Midas Weld / Terra Firma Rollers. The modified roller attachment replaced the aluminum front roller of the old Scott Bonnar cylinder mower.
Wear will be imposed by continually running the wear machine across the replicated bermudagrass (green couch and hybrid green couch plots), until sufficient “damage” is imposed. The damage will allow ASTC to report on wear tolerance and recovery of the 7 bermudagrasses being trialed. To read more about the trial click here.
