Project Details
Australian Sports Turf Consultants (ASTC) have been engaged by Brisbane City Council (BCC) to conduct site investigative works in August 2021 to prepare technical sports turf specifications for the redevelopment of Sunnybank Rugby Union‘s (SRU) Field 3.
The existing surface is a mixture of green couch and kikuyu grass.

Services
Site investigation work:
- Site inspection to determine required works and restraints
- Soil sampling to determine site and soil conditions
- Soil nutritional testing
- Site surveying to determine existing levels and prepare designs, including cut and fill requirements
Designs and/or specifications for:
- Sports field development work
- Topsoil (soil blend) importation and soil amendments
- Turfgrass selection
- Establishment and maintenance over the 8 week consolidation period
During construction and consolidation:
- Quality control checks
- Analytical testing
- Sports field audit prior to handover of the field to Council
