2022 Campaspe Shire Playing Surface Auditing

The Shire of Campaspe carries out condition assessments on key asset classes and asset types on a rolling schedule to understand the condition and replacement cost of its assets for renewal planning purposes. Council engaged Australian Sports Turf Consultants (ASTC), as an independent third party, to conduct the condition assessment of its playing surfaces including their hard court, synthetic, natural turf and skate park assets.

The condition data collected is used to support core asset management activities such as risk management, predictive modelling, planned maintenance and rehabilitation, asset valuation, work prioritisation and budget forecasting. The process of collecting consistent and repeatable condition data forms a core part of the application of asset management.
