Project Details
Australian Sports Turf Consultants has been engaged by the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre (QSAC), a Venue of Stadiums Queensland, to Project Manage the redevelopment of their main sports field which commenced on the 23 November 2022.
ASTC’s Project Management role follows on from site investigation works and the preparation of technical specifications and a detailed BOQ for tendering.

Services
Site investigation work:
- Soil and bore hole testing to determine the existing rootzone profile
- Surveying the existing levels and features
Designs and/or specifications for:
- Removal of the existing surface and quantity of topsoil as determined by survey work
- Ground preparation works
- Topsoil (sand) inportation
- Turfing
- Turf establishment
During construction and consolidation:
- Turf suitability, monthly and pre-harvest farm inspections
- Quality control checks during the redevelopment and establishment period in line with the specified Hold and Witness Points
