Metrosiderous PBR varieties

Waterworth’s Nursery in the Glass House Mountains has engaged ASTC Director Matt Roche, a Qualified Person (QP), for Plant Breeder’s Rights (PBR) testing of their two candidate Metrosiderous collina (Christmas Bush) varieties called ‘Firecraker’ and ‘Fireworks’. Testing and evaluation of the variegated Christmas Bush varieties will commence in early 2015 against other commercial varieties of Metrosiderous collina. The variegated varieties are definite stand outs because the colour and interest is already growing with members of the nursery industry and landscape sector already requesting stock. Waterworth’s Nursery plan to propagate both PBR protected varieties exclusively at their Glass House Mountains nursery for sale.
